It is believed that the entire Guru Granth Sahib can be condensed into Japji Sahib. Japji Sahib can be condensed into the Mool Mantar. The Mool Mantar can be condensed into Ek Oangkar. The Ek Oangkar can be condensed into Ek: a single word, numerical, symbol, belief, primordial flux, creation, destruction, way of life, way of death, without beginning, without end.
I believe Ek Oangkar expresses itself through Nature, this art piece is an experience of that. In it, Ek Oangkar is the central element, around which are the rings of a tree. It is written with repetitions of the Mool Mantar. Each iteration excludes Ek Oangkar, as each is intended to begin from the centre.
